Just Another Profile Shot.

Just another profile picture…

I have to say, it is kinda odd, throwing up pictures of things that I am just not particularly good at drawing… but… well… I’m sure it makes sense somewhere. I will put in as somewhat of a disclaimer that pictures like this are done incredibly quickly… and in cases like this, done entirely without things like guide-lines, pre-sketching, roughing out…

Its just a case of playing around and trying things, really – and they don’t always work out… this picture isn’t something I’d ever want to frame and keep forever, by any account. In fact, I wouldn’t generally show this to anything other than the inside of my sketchbook… it just isn’t a great picture. But its getting a mention on here anyway… I wonder why?

Hickory Dickory Dock (is the moon really made from green cheese?).

See? I am a good girl occasionally… two whole pictures in one night. Lucky you, wonderful viewers.

For some reason I wanted to do a clock towery type of thing last night that wan’t quite as straight as a regular tower might generally be… the rest just grew from that. I have no idea, really, why there is a solitary clock-tower, sitting in a field, pointing at just a little after two in the supposed morn… Perhaps that is the best time for little ratties (even if he should be, by all accounts a rather large mouse) to perch and watch the moon whilst thinking of what he might achieve, if only he could stretch just that little further to take a bite of the fabled cheese that seemingly dangles just out of reach.

Tentacle Time

Not the greatest sketch in the world, but I feel that I’d best throw at least -something- up here to show that I’ve been doing something… As I’ve said before, I hate profiles… its far from perfect, but I can deal with that… at least each kinda-not-quite-right gets closer to the kinda-getting-closer-to-being-quite-right, the way it should be.

It was just a picture of the head to begin with… I’m not quite sure what compelled me to go ‘this image can only be best completed with the addition of a nice, juicy tentacle’, but I have to say, I think it makes it work *big grin*.

A New Sketch Book.

\'Little Owl\' by Kat Johnston

Ok, so we have another image up, finally! This one is a little owl… drawn then inked in… first pages of new sketch books are always so intimidating – so much expectation… so, this little guy got to feature. Isn’t he lucky? Not much else to add today – will post more later, perhaps *smile*
