Announcement: All out of Inspiration, but Easier to Share.

Kat Johnston - I'm all out... Inspiration is not forthcoming. Today is a bust.

No really… today is a bust. You’re getting a woman with wonky eyes and a repetition of flies because I’m entirely tapped. Inspiration is not forthcoming since my head is rather focused on my university work at the moment, and has gone entirely out of creative mode for the day.

Now for the fun stuff. I’ve added another little feature to the individual post pages which I hope will be helpful. There is now an easy button to mouse-over at the bottom of each post page to send the link to various social bookmarking sites, to e-mail the post to friends, or bookmark it in your browser.

Announcement: I appeal to you for help.

Some may be aware, and others not, that I am utilizing this website for my major project this semester. I’m looking at the concept of personal branding for creative practitioners within the visual arts field utilizing primarily web 2.0 technologies.

So, without going into too much further detail, I’d like to know what you would like to see here, or what I can do that you think might be a great way to promote this site. I’m still new to all this stuff, so I could really use your help to get my name, and my work, out there!

Please leave comments with any suggestions, thoughts, etc, and I’ll do what I can to build this into a site we can all enjoy. If you link to my site, or list it anywhere, I’d also like to hear about that too. Every little bit counts and I’d love to see people getting involved!

Announcement: We’re Live!

After a few good weeks of frustration, late nights, and other such fun, www.katjohnston.com is up and running. Thank you to all who have shown me support as I’ve developed this site. There are still a few little things to iron out: eg, the dark comment text… don’t worry, I’m working on it!

The gallery will be updated with content as soon as possible.

So… please update your bookmarks to this new site, tell all your friends about it, and I may just give you a cookie. A virtual cookie. Mmmm, cookies.

Kat Johnston - Umm.. there appears to be a bird on my head. And he's wearing a top-hat.

Ok, I’m doing my last little bits of tweaking on the new location for this blog and it should be up and running by this time tomorrow. Not long now! So… until then… I would reccommend holding your comments until I’m done with the new site! It will be bigger, better, sexier, and more importantly, I’ve custom-styled it myself.

As for today’s picture, its actually influenced by my new banner picture. I don’t draw the ‘long’ eyes like that all that often. Sure is fun though. Ok, I am off to do my last little bits and pieces of tweaking. I’ll post an announcement when the new and improved site is up and running!
