  • Wilderness.

The sketch is a bit earlier today, as I promised… and yet again, another portraity type thing… I must admit, that the majority of my sketches do tend to be faces… This one could use a touch more work, as could the last one I threw up… to give it a touch more depth to the hair. Anyhow, I’m naming this little miss ‘Wilderness’, though I’m not entirely sure why… perhaps just the hair, which seems as if it really would be rather untameable. Eh, I don’t know… *laughs*

This sketch and the one previous are in a new sketch-book… one a page… perhaps I will fill it up with girls drawn like this, they appeal to me *grin*. This picture I dedicate to Ash, who asked me to draw a picture for her… I was drawing this at the time, so here you go!

  • Another day, another sketch…

Amy is just a gem… she can see through someone trying to talk around in circles and isn’t shy about confronting them about it… and making them present things more realistically. She doesn’t mind cutting someone down if they’ve start exhibiting a superiority complex bigger than the Empire State Building either. She’s not cynical, exactly… just takes everything with a pinch of salt. So if you do happen to come across her just tell it to her straight – you’ll certainly find yourself in a better position if you do!

Sorry for the lateness of today’s post… its been a long day, so I didn’t get around to doing any sketching until this afternoon. I’ll try to show the one tomorrow (technically today, now) earlier.

  • Felicity.

I may actually take this one further than I currently have, as there are some things I wouldn’t mind adjusting a little further… and there is certainly scope to experiment with more colouration, in those delicious muted tones that I do so love and adore… but for now, I thought I’d throw it up in its current state and work more on it later. She was a great break from writing my project proposal today, I’ll tell you that. Originally done in blue ball-point pen (what a surprise there… seems I can’t get away from it…) on paper, then minimally digitally recoloured.

This is Felicity and I am not sure whether I should be telling you what I think of her, or if I should just leave that one up to you… I think she might be better off, perhaps, with that air of mystery rather than having me reveal all of her secrets.

Thank you to Katy for this one, for giving me the inspiration to draw her.

  • A New Sketch Book.

    \'Little Owl\' by Kat Johnston

Ok, so we have another image up, finally! This one is a little owl… drawn then inked in… first pages of new sketch books are always so intimidating – so much expectation… so, this little guy got to feature. Isn’t he lucky? Not much else to add today – will post more later, perhaps *smile*
