  • Sanu in SL: Love is in the air!

Sanu in Second Life: Sanura Sakai brings you… love letters! You get an envelope, and anyone who clicks it gets a cute love letter!

I know it isn’t Valentine’s Day, but I say that any time is a good time to express your love and affection for someone. So feeling in a lovey-dovey mood (as you do sometimes), today’s Sanu release includes adorable love letters and love poems!

Sanu in Second Life: Lovely love poems are just what you to brighten up your day and bring a smile to your face.

For both the love letters and the love poems, you receive an envelope, and inside each of those envelopes is an incredibly cute little note that anyone can receive if they give it a click. The love poems take on a ‘Roses are red, Violets are blue’ structure, while the love letters are a bit more free-form.

I had a heap of fun writing them… how can I not? As anyone knows, my products have a tendency to be a bit quirky, so these have poems and letters which span the whole of the love-scale. Some are funny, some are heartfelt, and there’s even a couple of poems in there that seem downright insulting. I mean, with words like ‘poo’ and ‘moo’ rhyming with ‘blue’, you can’t help but work with what you’ve got. Each poem and letter is a lovely surprise.

Stay tuned – these are certainly not the last of the love releases. I’m considering holding back some of the pieces for the second half of the Albero Gatcha Festival, but we’ll see how we go. I might give you a sneak peek sometime soon!

  • Sweet Cherry Pie.

Kat Johnston Sketch – Envelopes have to be one of the most fun things to draw on… I don’t even know why, but I do so love to draw on a nice used envelope.

I love drawing on envelopes – used envelopes in particular. Last week I forgot to even take my notebook to class with me, so I had only the few envelopes stashed in my bag to take a few notes on. While I was studiously note-taking, I also happened to draw this little witchey. A cute little mite, isn’t she? I have cropped around her a bit, but I haven’t done it in a way to block out a bit of the scribble that sits beside her… I wonder if I should scan in the whole envelope on day.

Another short little post today… I’ve been busy doing other things today, such as creating a clickable cherry. Yes, a clickable cherry. Oh the things that amuse my poor befuddled brain…

  • An Envelope and some Stardust.

    \'Envelope\' by Kat Johnston

Ok, again I apologize… way too much time between postings for what was meant to be a ‘one a day’ type thing. That said, day to day life can get a little bothersome!

Today, I watched Stardust… I’ve read the book – I did a long time ago, have many times and when the movie came out, I read it again… but it has taken until now for me to actually get it out on dvd and watch the damn thing. As with most ‘book to movie’ transitions, I found it easiest to sit back and just pretend that I hadn’t read the book at all. Just makes the experience oh so much nicer *grin*.

Anyhow, how does that fit in to the grand big scheme of things? It doesn’t, really… save for the fact that I did these scribbles after watching that movie. For what it is worth, I am terrified of profile faces… um… drawing them, it is… otherwise that really would be an interesting phobia to add to the growing list of phobias that currently exist. Anyhow… this is the random sketching for today: now lets see if I can remain motivated enough to give you something to look at tomorrow! (sisters arrive, yay!)
