  • EaHH: Event Schedule

    Time to get an event schedule up and running! Here’s the list of currently scheduled events. Check back often to see when more great events have been added to the line-up.

    If you’d like to run an entertainment or fund-raising event with proceeds going towards the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal, please IM either December Larkham or me for an event application form and to discuss your potential event.

    Tues 18th Jan: 3am – 6am: The Colour Factory Benefit for EaHH (done!)

    Three great acts, and one good cause. Pop on down to The Colour Factory on the 18th to listen to some great LIVE music by Soar, Rara Destiny, and a third performer to be announced. If you haven’t heard of Soar or Rara yet, you should really check our Soar’s music at their website, and listen to Rara singing Mad World here in Second Life… after doing so, there is no way you will want to miss out on this event!

    Fri 21st Jan: 4pm: Kustom Klassics Dragstrip (done!)

    Rev your engines for a fun way to raise money for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal! Kustom Klassics Dragstrip is hosting a special Donation Drag Race that will be sure to get your heart pumping and your pulse racing. If you’ve never checked out drag racing in Second Life before, you’re in for a treat!

    Sat 22nd Jan: 2am – 2am (on the 23rd): Tripology (done!)

    The Tripology Club will be having a massive 24 hour marathon of fantastic DJs and wonderful music! If you like Electronc music, this is certainly the event for you. Pop by and drop a donation into one of the donation booths set up during the event and dance the day away.

    Wed 26th/27th Jan: 12am – 12pm (on the 27th): B&B’s (done!)

    The 26th is Australia Day, so what better way to celebrate the day than by giving to a worthy cause? B&B’s will be hosting a 48 hour concert with a steller line-up of LIVE entertainment by Australian artists throughout a very full two days. A full list of acts will be available closer to the concert, so check back here soon!

    Fri 28th Jan: 6pm – 10pm: Under the Willows (done!)

    A lovely, natural retreat, good music, great company… who can ask for anything more? From 6pm – 10pm the stage at Under the Willows will be lit up with a great line-up of LIVE entertainment for your listening pleasure. Acts include Acoustic Energy Nitely at 6pm, Sojurn Rossini at 7pm, Max Kleene and Gabryel Nyoki and 8pm and Soar at 9pm.

    Sun 30th Jan: 4pm – 6pm: Outpost 13

    Get yourselves ready for a truly fun couple of hours at Outpost 13! The DJ will be spinning some great Electronic/Synthpop music for you, and there will be 500l up on the boards for a come as you are competition! Teleport in all your friends and see if they think you’re the best dressed. Nothing to wear? Just pop over to the EaHH Event Hall and pick up some donation-items to put on before you hit the club!

    Sat 5th Feb: 12pm – 12am: DD’s Diner & Gas Station

    An awesome line-up of  twelve incredible DJs from around the world are coming together to raise money for the Premier’s Disaster Relief appeal. They’re going to be spinning the tracks at DD’s Diner & Gas Station on the 5th, bringing you the best of indie, alternative and punk music.

  • EaHH: Bunny Auction an Incredible Success.

    A charity bunny auction was held this evening at Shamrock Stables in collaboration with Ozimals.  To say it was a success would be a massive understatement.

    100% of the proceeds were put towards EaHH’s collection to be donated to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal, and all bunnies to be auctioned were donated by some of the most talented breeders across the grid. Each of these incredible bunnies went for varying amounts – one even as high as L$62,000 (approximately US$237.12), and there were a couple that weren’t far behind.

    The grand total bought in by the auction was L$388,302 (approximately US$1,485.01), and that doesn’t even including the raffles that are being run along-side it and have not yet closed.

    Even if you weren’t able to join in on the bidding in the auction, there’s still time to get in on the bunny fun. The grand prize raffle will go for a full week before a winner is announced, and tickets are only L$100 each, with all of that money going to this great cause. You can get a full list of prizes in the grand prize pack if you go visit the raffle board, but be assured, it is an incredible pack including elites, food, a naughty and nice sets and more. Certainly worth your chances, in my books! Grab a ticket at Shamrock Stables!

    I’d just like to say a big thank-you to Candy, Malk, Angelique, Ever, and everyone who bid, donated, or just showed up. You have no idea just how awed I was at your generosity. It just goes to prove, time and time again, that little things (and not so little things) can make a big difference, especially here in Second Life.

  • EaHH: Kicking off the event schedule with a bunny auction!

    EaHH: Ozimals Bunny Auction - stop by on the 14th of Jan. Auction starts at 6pm, SLT.

    14th of January, 6pm SLT at Shamrock Stables.

    Extend a Helping Hand has been putting together a great event schedule, and we’re going to kick things off with a bang. Shamrock Stables is teaming up with Ozimals to present a bunny auction, with all proceeds collected going towards the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. There will be an excellent range of fantastic bunnies up for auction, all donated by some incredibly generous bunny breeders. If you want a bunny that’s just a little bit (or a lot!) special, this auction is for you.

    A raffle-board will also be set up during the auction, with some great prizes available, ranging from combo-food to Naughty and Nice packs no longer sold at Ozimals, Elite sets and more. Also available at the auction will be an incredibly gorgeous outfit available by Silk & Satyr, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the appeal! I’ve had a sneak peek at the gown and it is super cute – a lovely mix of luscious lavender and subtle shades of green and grey.

    Make sure to stop by – this will be a bunny auction to remember!

  • EaHH: Extend a Helping Hand will be extended to the 8th of February.

    Extend a Helping Hand: Raising funds for the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal.

    Extend a Helping Hand is going brilliantly: as I write this, we’ve already made a little over US$1500 at the event in Second Life to be contributed towards the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.

    When I first started planning for this event, I didn’t expect for it to kick off so well. I also didn’t expect that on the day the market would open, my own city would be experiencing flooding as well. It’s been quite a ride. Anyhow, what I’m leading to is this:

    • The Extend a Helping Hand Market has been extended to the 8th of February. In light of the incredible damage caused by the flooding even since I started organizing this event, I feel that the extra time we can have raising funds can only help.
    • If you would still like to get involved as a vendor, please pick up an info-pack from the Sanu mainstore – it is located in a white box by the front area, with all the other Extend a Helping Hand items. I will still be accepting applications until the 18th of January, and a limited number of applicants will be given space to set up some donation items at the Event Hall for the 25th. Please understand that because of prim limitations, space concerns and event manageability, not all applications will be accepted. You are always welcome to show your support by donating through one of the provided donation booths, or directly through the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal website.
    • All vendors who have put applications in will be contacted by the 20th at the latest regarding whether they have been accepted for a second-round place at the event hall. If you have not been contacted by the 20th, please IM either Sanura Sakai or Andel Rhiadra to confirm.
    • If you would like an event application to hold an associated fund-raiser where proceeds will be put towards EaHH, please contact our Entertainment Manager, December Larkham, for an application form.
    • Vendors requiring build permissions when ready to set up should IM our Venue Manager, Andel Rhiadra, or myself if Andel is unavailable.
