  • Sanu in SL: Macaroons that melt in your mouth.

Sanu in SL: Macaroons are sooo pretty to look at, and they sure are tasty too. My mouth is watering just looking at them!

It is no secret that I love creating virtual food in Second Life. There’s just something about recreating something that is already perfect, in a way that makes them even more mouth-wateringly delicious.

I am so insanely happy with these macaroons that you would hardly believe it. Looking at them seriously makes me want to go out and find some in real life right this second, because they just look so damn tasty!

There are twelve macaroons to collect, each one with a classic flavour and three options for the filling… everyone loves variety, right? Well, you get the choice of chocolate ganache, raspberry jam and the ever-classic cream!

Teleport to Sanu today to grab a macaroon… or twelve. Don’t forget, they’re transferable too – so they’re perfect for sharing with friends!

  • Sketch: Mmmm, cupcakes… with fondant!

    Kat Johnston Sketch: Mmmm… cuppies…

First off, a sketch. I think we’ve all had enough of seeing things other than sketches here, don’t you? Good? Good. This site was made to keep me sketching, and obviously I’ve been neglecting that, so it is time to get things back on track.

    So that’s that.

Kat Johnston Baking: chocolate cupcakes with delicious whipped buttercream and marshmallow fondant. The top one is also decorated with cachous!

    And this is more baking!

Ok, so posting a sketch doesn’t negate the need to show you how absolutely divinely delicious my cupcakes turned out. They’re chocolate cupcakes, and the batter was further enriched with some gorgeous white chocolate, just to give it that little extra kick. Then they were decorated with freshly whipped buttercream and delicious marshmallow fondant. I think I’m getting a bit better with my piping even!

Kat Johnston Baking: More cupcakes! This time they’re carrot cupcakes, with buttercream and sprinkles (or hundreds and thousands, as they are also known)

And these ones needed no piping at all… just slather on the buttercream and liberally apply the hundreds and thousands. They’re carrot cupcakes, in case you were wondering.

    Annnnnnd that is all!

If you’d like to see more of the cupcake photos, you can find them on my Flickr Baking/Cooking set.

Ok… time for another cupcake… *trundles off to the kitchen*

Kat Johnston - There once was a lady who swallowed a fly...

There once was a lady that swallowed a fly… I have no idea why flies are coming into my sketches over the past couple of days… but they’re cute, aren’t they? Perhaps this is the lady of the true flies… the flies with only two wings! *laughs* To be honest, I don’t think she’s overly fussed either way… so long as they have a little crunch to them. Yesterday’s sketch is far better than this one, in my opinion… but I am throwing this one up anyway.
